			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the wake of the recent Cinqo De Mayo controversies, I have to question whether I&#8217;m living in America, or some bizarro parallel universe version thereof. I&#8217;m not going to go on about how this isn&#8217;t really even a holiday in Mexico, or the ridiculous notion that it should be celebrated in the U.S.. However, with the &#8216;flag shirt&#8217; high schoolers and other incidents surrounding this so-called, media and corporate contrived tripe of a holiday worthy of nationwide celebration, it brings to light an issue of much larger significance. Namely, the notion that hyphenated citizenry has any place in our beloved Republic.<br />
America has been built, in large part, by immigrants. Legal immigrants, people who abandoned all foreign allegiance for the privilege to call themselves Americans- not Irish-Americans, German-Americans, or African-Americans, just Americans. They left their native cultures and customs so they could be individuals, and live freely to the fullest extent of their abilities. To be an American is not to be any part of a group other than a group of free people exercising their God given rights of self-determination, as stated in the Declaration of Independence.<br />
Although I don&#8217;t subscribe to the wearing of the American Flag as clothing, other than as a part of a military or civil servant uniform, the notion that the American Flag in and of itself is somehow an abhorrent display to some percentage of the population on any day of the year leads me to one question. Who the hell are these people and what are they doing here?<br />
My take is that anyone who identifies themselves as a fill-in-the-blank-American, is not an American at all. You cannot be an American if you place your allegiance first with another country. The media perpetuates this nonsense constantly. By calling Chairman Obeyme the first African-American President(oh, I&#8217;m sorry was that Bill Clinton?), they debase him from America. America cannot have an African-American President or any other hyphenated variety, we either have an African President, which is illegal according to the Constitution, or an American President. Not both.<br />
This may seem like a semantic word play, but take a look at Europe right now. The European Union, an unrealistic product of wishful thinking on the part of the ruling elite, is coming apart at the seems. But why? It made so much sense. Join the countries of Europe together in an economic and eventual political alliance to counter balance the United States. So why isn&#8217;t it working?<br />
Let&#8217;s see, no common language, a history of warring on one another for centuries, and distinctly different values from country to country. What could go wrong? Contrast this with America&#8217;s formation, thirteen colonies (basically separate nation states as exist in Europe), a common language, a common disdain for the aristocracies of Europe, and a common belief in God and the God given rights of man.<br />
What about slavery( a system established by Europeans in the colonies for their economic gain) you say? America&#8217;s penance for slavery was paid in full, in the blood of it&#8217;s sons and daughters during The Civil War. The Founders knew this issue would have to be resolved and it was, at great cost.<br />
So, there are no hyphenated Americans, you are either an American or you may classify yourself as other than American &#8211; and if you opt for the latter, leave after your visit.<br />
I truly believe that their are Americans all over the world that have never stepped foot into this country but yearn for the individual freedom and economic and religious liberty that we are SUPPOSED to value. I welcome these people into our country &#8211; legally, come here, prosper, and be my neighbor.<br />
Americanism is a belief and state of mind more so than a birth right- and within it there is no room for hyphens.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Can someone explain to me by what logic we could classify ourselves as anything other than modern day serfs, or sharecroppers on the Big Gubmint Plantation?  Are we not stripped of the fruits of our labors in the same manner as a serf or sharecropper?  Can we actually keep the land that we supposedly own without paying a Nobleman for the &#8216;right&#8217; to do so?  Is not the Federal Income Tax exactly analagous to the sharecropper paying the landlord a share of the crop he grew as rent on the land?  It&#8217;s as if we rent our jobs from the government via the taxes we pay.  This is a disgusting system that would have made the Founders of the country ill to see how compliant and tolerant we are of this oppression.<br />
To them, it wasn&#8217;t the amount, it was the principle.  Just because our so called greatest generation forfeited the principle argument long ago, does that mean that we have to abide by that?  At what level of taxation will we stand up and be heard if we are not willing to act now, 100%?  I doubt it.  How about when the money is worth nothing?  Hyper-inflation is nothing but another form of tax instituted by governments with no fiscal discipline and it is in our future.  They are already introducing legislation that will allow the Federal government to effectively seize your 401k&#8217;s and IRA&#8217;s.  Don&#8217;t believe it? 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Some forty-five years ago, perhaps the greatest American Patriot of our time summed up the choice that lay before the people in the 1964 Presidential race.  While stumping for the Goldwater campaign, Reagan described the magnitude of the decision as follows:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth. And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except to sovereign people, is still the newest and most unique idea in all the long history of man&#8217;s relation to man. This is the issue of this election. Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Reagan saw so clearly then the reality to which the present generation of the American People are only now beginning to awaken.  Throughout history, freedom is by far the exception rather than the rule.  Tyranny has been the norm since the beginning of recorded history &#8211; likely as far back as cavemen scrawling on cave walls with charcoaled sticks.  Only at a few brief points in time has man dabbled in democratic notions, formed Republics, and lived under a system of natural laws, respect for property, and acknowledgement of individual rights.  All previous attempts failed.  The Democracies denigrated into mob rule and collapsed, the Republics fell victim to corruption and the ambitions of men who had other ideas about how people should be &#8216;ruled&#8217;.<br />
Our Republic, designed by men who spent their waking hours studying all that had been written of previous attempts at democratic rule, human nature, and philosophy, stands today as Reagan&#8217;s &#8216;shining city on the hill&#8217;.  No doubt the lights of liberty have dimmed significantly with recent events, but the core of the American Experiment still burns on.  People are beginning to realize what is at stake.  America is exceptional &#8211; not as Chairman Obeyme said &#8220;American is exceptional in the same way that the British or French see themselves as exceptional&#8221; (paraphrased).  Obeyme views us, the American People and our system of self-governance, as a European king would have viewed his subjects and such notions &#8211; with disdain.  I don&#8217;t think this could be more plain.  Our Republic is still intact, although probably fatally broken if some things aren&#8217;t changed soon, we need to remain vigilant and protect, with our last breath, that which remains.  That is our duty not just to our forefathers, but to our posterity.<br />
So, in the wake of the Brown victory in Massachusetts, don&#8217;t relax or believe that the Marxists will now just fold their tents and embrace the Constitution and the rule of law.  They are committed and still in charge.  We need to push back, continue to write letters, and demand that they be accountable to us, the American people.  Remember, the federal government has no legitimate power other than that which is granted through the Constitution.  As Jefferson <em>reportedly</em> said:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>We all need to keep the pressure on through the November elections.  Talk to everyone you know even at the expense of alienating them &#8211; if they aren&#8217;t interested enough to engage in thoughtful debate and take a stand against tyranny, then they are part of the problem facing this country.  Stay vigilant and don&#8217;t get complacent, there&#8217;s a lot of work to be done.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve seen a number of articles addressing the lessons to taken, by both Republicans and Democrats, from Scott Brown&#8217;s stunning upset victory over Martha Coakley in the bluest of blue states, Massachusetts.  Most are along the lines of &#8216;The American People reject Obama care&#8221;, or &#8220;Obama needs to move to the center to salvage his Presidency&#8221;, or &#8220;this is a clear repudiation of Obama&#8217;s Socialist agenda&#8221;, all of which are true to some extent.  However, I think there is a more fundamental message here than is captured in those I&#8217;ve described above, and it&#8217;s very simple.  The American people, without respect to party affiliation or political bent, don&#8217;t like being told what to do by their government.<br />
As the Ivy League Universities have cranked out their product of European Socialist wannabe, so-called intellectual &#8216;progressive&#8217; ideologues since the early 1900&#8242;s, who have in turn, through manipulation of public education and news media of all forms attempted to blind the unclean populace to that which is their heritage, they&#8217;ve ignored one very critical fact that will make there ultimate goal of Marxist Utopia far more difficult to acheive.  Like a strand of DNA through every American, there is natural tendency to rebel against tyranny in all forms.  It is part of our nature and our culture.  It is that rebellious nature that was on display in Massachusetts last Tuesday.<span id="more-1489"></span><br />
The results of the election will be interpreted by the self-anointed Ivy League intellectuals as shocking evidence that the unclean masses are even less intelligent than they had originally thought.  This will be perceived as confirming evidence that we clearly can&#8217;t see that which is good for ourselves and therefore cannot be trusted to make our own decisions.  Make no mistake that this will be the mantra chanted within the Ivory Towers of &#8216;progressive thought&#8217;- this is how they think.  You are trolls without the high-cognitive abilities that they possess, which is why you cling to your guns and religion.<br />
But it is the roots of our rebellious nature that the European wannabe&#8217;s can&#8217;t quite grasp.  They see it as evidence of our collective ignorance largely because they view us as groups to be ruled (by them) rather than as individuals who consent to be governed.  The individualist DNA is the result of the fact that our culture is derived from self-reliance.  The people who came to and built this country had no castle walls behind which to hide.  Although they were &#8216;subjects&#8217; of the King of England until the rebellion, they viewed the world quite differently than their European ancestors, who recognized the &#8216;divine right of kings&#8217; and consented to be ruled by them.  When an attempt was made to subjugate the Colonies to the will of the king, they rebelled and established the greatest system of self-governance ever conceived.<br />
Socialism/Marxism is accepted by the Europeans because it is in their DNA to be ruled by kings.  The kings have been supplanted by large government bureaucracies &#8211; no less tyrannical that the monarchs of old.  Europeans have the DNA of a serf.  They are compliant and used to being told exactly how to live their lives, what fields of study for which they are eligible, and in what professions they will best serve the state.  That is why the Marxist policies are largely accepted in Europe, because the people are more comfortable in a state of tyranny.<br />
I would propose that a fundamental misunderstanding of the American people by the Marxist elites now in power is at the center of the shock they are now experiencing.  Remember, the Statists get into power by running as moderates or conservatives before the voters &#8211; never as what they are.  When Marxist policies and beliefs are presented to the American people for a vote they are always rejected because the are antithetical to our nature.  They, the statists understand that Americans are distrustful of their ideas and policies, what they failed to understand is that this is because it is in our nature to be so &#8211; not because of a lack of education.<br />
This is important because of the scope of the defeat clearly indicates that they will not be able to achieve their aims through their typical deceitful means- lying to the electorate.  Does this mean they will fold their tents and head back to Columbia University and develop a new theory and question their ideals?  Not likely.  The arrogance of these people is immeasurable.  They are in power, and they will not go quietly.  What other options do they have to achieve their aims?<br />
The conclusion that the Marxists will reach from the Massachusetts Miracle is that the only means to ultimately implementing their agenda in America is through violent revolution.  Although I&#8217;m not predicting violence to be perpetrated upon the American people by their government, I do believe there are methods of insurrection that could be employed against the American people in order to spread fear, and a public clamoring for a crack down which might involve the surrendering of certain liberties, including freedom of speech, the right to assemble and petition the Government.<br />
I&#8217;m not saying this will happen next week, but the message is clear- the Statist agenda cannot be achieved through the electoral process.  The political demographics of this Senatorial election prove this beyond any doubt.  All that this means is that another strategy will be employed, they will not give up.  Keep your eyes open and watch what happens next.  Note that Obama has already shifted focus to Big Banking &#8211; &#8220;We want our money back!!!&#8221;.  Money that they pretty much forced the banks to take in the first place and most of which has been repaid.  All dictators need an enemy on which to focus public anger and distract them from that which it is they are really doing.  Hitler had the Jews, Chavez and Castro had us, and Obeyme now has the banks, while of course last week it was the insurance companies.  But ultimately, they don&#8217;t want us looking at this election and seeing what it truly means.<br />

He&#8217;s pissed, so am I, and with good reason.  The Marxists in charge want to pretend that we have no Constitution and that they can do as they please. <p>Here&#8217;s what the Dem/Marxists don&#8217;t understand &#8211; so many of them hail from the so-called Ivy League Legal institutions and are so out of touch with the rest of America, that they have totally misread the reaction of most Americans to their plans to exert even more centralized, politburo style controls over more aspects of their lives.<br />
Most of them have never cleaned out the grease trap at the local family restaurant, or pumped gas(we used to do that anyway), or trenched in a powerline, or plowed a field, or broken a split rim from a truck tire with a sledge hammer.  They have no idea of what real work is and how the ability to work an entry level job builds character and self respect.  Well, here&#8217;s news to them &#8211; this country is filled with people with tons of self respect and they don&#8217;t need the Ivy League Harvard idiots running their lives.  They have learned, through hard work and self reliance to do that for themselves and will resist, vehemently, their wrong headed, intellectually lazy ideas of how wonderful the world would be if the rest of us would just listen to them.<br />
The Marxists(Dems) will ultimately fail in America.  There are still too many of us who know why the freedom to fail is as important as the freedom to succeed and will not tolerate any further usurpations of our liberty.<br />

<p>A couple in San Diego was visited by a county official informing them that they would need a a religious land use permit costing thousands of dollars if they want to continue holding a bible study in their home.  The couple said that 10 &#8211; 15 friends would come over, have a meal, and pray &#8211; that was all, and that it really did not constitute a church-like gathering.</p>
<p>Obviously, this breaches the 1st Amendment rights of the couple on a number of levels, including freedom of religion and assembly and is just plain idiotic.  However, my guess is that rather than being a specific attack on Christian religious assemblies in general, this is more a representation of San Diego County&#8217;s ravenous appetite for fee revenue in a declining economy.<span id="more-1141"></span></p>
<p>Given it&#8217;s proximity to the border, perhaps more than most counties within the borders of the rotting, bloated financial corpse of the State of California, San Diego County is starving for tax revenue.  Fees like this, conceived by bureaucrats to increase revenue, are really nothing but a shake down of the citizenry for cash.  Basically, a state sponsored mugging.</p>
<p>The States who have spent money that they did not have to pay their teachers and other employers outrageously high salary, benefits, and retirement packages all share these attributes.  For instance, drive a few miles over the speed limit in Oregon and you&#8217;re looking at a minimum fine of over $200.  This type of fine has nothing to do with safety, it is about extracting cash from the populace.</p>
<p>On a related note, I find it amazing that there isn&#8217;t more outrage across the Country about California seeking a bailout at the expense of the rest of the nations tax payers!  Their politicians passed state laws to fund things that they couldn&#8217;t afford and now they expect us to pay for it, so that the rest of us and our children can keep their bone-headed promises for them?  JTFC!!!  Wake up people!  </p>
<p>I&#8217;m including the interview with the couple, not because its a great example of First Amendment arguments or Constitutional principles, but because Miss California, Carrie Prejean is in it and she&#8217;s so amazingly beautiful!<br />
