Showboating for Healthcare Reform Bill

The news media report that President Obeyme will televise talks with Republicans and Democrats on health care. Well, isn’t that sweet? How nice. How bi-partisan. How absolutely false and pretentious. He will now fulfill his promise of ‘transparency’. Now that the backroom deals are made and sealed he’ll invite the Republicans in along with the cameras. The truth is that after the Republican win in Massachusetts he has figured out that yeah, we the people are pissed and we are not going to let them ram the health care bill down our throats without a fight! It will no doubt be more smoke and mirrors. There will be no retractions of provisions injected for the purpose of bribing votes. None of that stuff will come out of the bill. Hopefully the people are on to him and his game of let me dazzle them with my brilliance! All you will hear is The One speaking of bi-partisanship and the peoples’ work. It will be another sales pitch by him to us. Nothing more. Pay attention people, don’t be fooled again by this blow hard.
Good point. They’ve cut all of the backroom deals so now they can invite the Republicans in. I think they(Reps) are fools if they are co-opted by this ‘process’. They will be brought in and brow beat in front of the cameras into agreeing w/Obeyme. That’s what bi-partisan means to the Administration.
