Failed Christmas Terror Attack
By omb on Dec 26, 2009 in War On Terror
Two things. First, isn’t this the second failed Christmas terror attack on an airliner? Wasn’t the failed attempt by would-be shoe bomber, ‘Richard Reed’ (by the way, a name he hadn’t used in years, but was promulgated by the AP so as to obscure the fact that this half a jerk was another practitioner of the religion of peace that was trying to kill Americans), also an attempted Christmas attack? I’m amazed by the lengths to which our forces are restrained by command to not run major operations during the month of ‘ramadan’(which I refuse to capitalize, by the way, but is somehow always referred to by our islamic suck-up media as the ‘holy month of -’), or any other islamic so-called ‘holy’ day, however, the members of the religion of peace that decide the time is right to kill some Christians seem to think the best time is on Christian or Jewish holy days. That policy of self-restraint should be abandoned.
Secondly, did anyone notice that it took less than 24 hours for the AP to run a story claiming that an unidentified source, on the condition of anonymity, stated that the U.S. Intelligence had known about the terror connections of the guy who tried to blow up the plane for two years? What struck me as funny was that, while watching the morning coverage of this story, I had no sooner said to my wife “I wonder how long it will take for the Administration to start blaming Bush for this?”. Well, not long apparently. So let me get this straight, on the morning after Christmas, less than 12 hours after the event, the AP is able to locate some highly placed source, somewhere in the machinery of Homeland Security, who happens to have first hand knowledge of the name of this asshole and also knows that he’s been known to have terrorist connections for 2 years, which just happens to be long enough open the window to blame the Bush Administration. I don’t buy it, let me tell you what I think. My guess is that the highly placed source is either David Axelrod or Rahm Emmanuel and that they are running damage control for Chairman Obeyme, instructing the AP as to what line to run in order to deflect criticism away from the Chosen One. Why else would the source need to remain anonymous? This is either a matter of record or it isn’t, why the secrecy? This has to be the Administration leaking a story that they think will provide cover for Obeyme’s ineptitude on terrorism.
This would be the second attack in the last two months on his watch, whether they seek to blame Bush or not. Believe me, as the weeks go on, you’ll hear more and more about how this is the Bush Administration’s fault.
