Our Prize Winning Prez

I can only imagine the scene at the White House the morning the news came in that President Obama had won the Nobel Prize for Peace. I can picture all of his little men just chomping at the bit waiting to tell his majesty the news! On the other hand, I have to think that when the sleep was rubbed out of his eyes, the president himself must have groaned. He must have had some sense of how meaningless and preposterous this award would seem.
The President’s penchant for receiving accolades for doing absolutely nothing is astounding. He was elected president based on no achievement, no record. He now receives this award based on nothing he has done. To quote Jay Leno: “Ironically, his biggest accomplishment as president so far … winning the Nobel Peace Prize.”
Maybe he’ll be given an Oscar as well-or better yet, an Emmy. Wait the Emmy might actually be deserved…

  1. Just remember who else got a Nobel Peace Prize. I believe peanut brain Jimmy Carter, anyone but George W Bush, and oh yeah Yasser Arafat. Is it really such an honor anymore?
