Time For Federal Board Control Laws

Before I get started, I need to issue an apology to The Bunker faithful (all 6 of you). There have been numerous recent news items about which I wanted to post, but unfortunately, my schedule has changed drastically in the last month and I’m working to organize my time so as to allow me to pay more attention to the site. I’m not saying that I didn’t get a little burned out on Obeyme’s antics, I did, but I have been very busy with my new job. I’ll endeavor to do better by those who stop in to read my rants.
On to the topic. Boards. I don’t know how many of you have seen the horrific video of a few of the pride of Chicago beating to death a young man in those wholesome streets, but one thing stands out from this video. We need Federal Board Control laws.
As you can see, nothing inspires otherwise peaceful youth to violence more than dangerous boards being carelessly left on the street where they can and will, apparently, be picked up and wielded as weapons against random passers by for no apparent reason. Those who left those boards lying around should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The problem is, there is no such law regarding boards.
I propose the following – Any persons caught leaving a board lying around their property to be charged with felony intent to incite violence. Should said board happen to have any exposed nails in it, I would recommend that the felony charge be elevated to a hate crime. In addition, A seven day waiting period should be enacted on the purchase of any lumber to include a background check. That should take care of the problem.
Seriously, I don’t want to make light of this young man’s murder – it’s not funny, on the contrary, it is a disgusting display of the depths to which we, as a people, have declined. The video led to the arrest of 4 teens who have been charged with murder. Here’s my question, why haven’t the parents been charged with as accessories to this crime? They are supposed to be accountable for the actions of their children. They, the parents, are supposed to raise them to respect the rule of law, and the bounds of civil society – they are accountable, or at least, should be.
Undoubtedly, if it hasn’t happened already, some prosecutor will stick his mug in front of a camera and brag about how the teens will be charged as adults, as if that’s a solution. Well, they are not adults, they are savage kids whose parents have not instilled in them a proper respect for life. I’m not by any means absolving them of this wrong doing, but the responsibility lies with the parents. All it would take is for a few parents to get charged in incidents such as this one for others to take note and take charge of their children, providing them the incentive to prevent their own offspring from behaving like a pack of animals.

Missed you omb. I guess we will have to wait and see if Mcrystal and Petraeus will either resign or move the troops back to an area of safety and wait for the decision from Obamaville. You know that all his advisors have never been in the military or participated in war training. How do they expect to come up with a workable strategy?

Hey there OMB! I am glad to see you back! Also glad the new job going well. How dare you suggest that a parent should act like a responsible parent! How dare you suggest that the government shouldn’t fix every single problem!
