Obama, Return Of The Great Nimrod

towerI’ve thought for a long time that the liberal/Marxists ruling elite that occupy halls of our various branches of government truly view themselves as gods in that there can be nothing greater than that which they can construe in the their pointy little heads. They can’t comprehend how an all powerful, all knowing God could create the Universe in seven days(even though a day as a unit of time, is left undefined by the bible), therefore it can’t be true. They can’t understand how an all powerful, all knowing God could create man in His likeness, therefore we have to have evolved from pond scum and chimps, and we need to teach our children this mythology even in the stark absence of any evolutionary evidence among ANY species. They can’t understand the gift of life and of the inevitable worldly death that God has given to us so that we may one day be with Him, so they erect the golden calve of cradle to grave ‘health care’ as a distraction from the fact that you are going to die-at a time and place most likely not of your choosing (but perhaps of that of the government). Guess what, universal health care isn’t what’s going to get you closer to your Maker- except in terms of time, but I digress.
My point is that for every human crisis, there is a Government solution – as long as you swear your allegiance to the State. Note that there is no room for God or prayer or anything that is not a construct of the Marxist pointy heads proffered as a solution. To me, these ‘solutions’ resemble the fabled ‘Tower Of Babel’. As the story goes, generations after The Great Flood, the descendants of Noah, angry at God for having slain so many (sinners) in the flood, constructed a tower of immense proportion to protect themselves from another flood. God was not pleased by their actions and confused their languages and scattered them across the land.
That’s about all I remembered from the story from reading the Old Testament many years ago. So I started poking around the internet and came upon the name ‘Nimrod’. Numerous historical references identify Nimrod as the builder of the tower and of Babylon, the latter according to The Old Testament. Flavius Josephus, a Hebrew historian who wrote ‘Antiquity Of The Jews’, circa 94 AD, wrote that Nimrod was a tyrant who could not tolerate the worship of God among the people. He had this to say, it may have an eerily familiar feel to it…

Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power…

Now, If you haven’t guessed by know, I am proposing that the liberal/Marxist/Statists are constructing a ‘Tower of Babel” whose building blocks are Government programs that are meant to make you dependent on them, not your God and Creator for salvation. Yes, I think Obeyme, the beloved Chairman of the Hussein Administration is the new Nimrod. ( In fact, I may start referring to him as Nimrod II, or something like that, but I do so like Obeyme that it will be difficult for me to let go.)
I think the thing to keep in mind here is that there is nothing new under the Sun. The shrew-faced Marxist creeps that emerge from those esteemed Ivy League institutions to slither into, and reside in the halls of education and government are taught to hate you, hate themselves, hate this country, and hate God- and now they are in charge. They are so smart but they cannot see that which cannot be seen with the eye. In other words, if its not visible to their eyes and ears, it doesn’t or can’t exist because they are the smartest of the smart! Imagine if Tesla or Einstein had this uber-elitist attitude? Would we have radio. electrical power, or atomic energy? No, because this elitist attitude was the attitude of the ruling class during The Dark Ages! Centuries of people living in the darkness of ignorance, disease, and starvation because they were forbidden to think! And if you say ‘Oh, the Dark Ages, a lot of that was because of the Catholic Church’, my answer is this, perhaps, but it wasn’t because of God, tyranny in any form stifles Human development. God and religion too often appear to have separate agendas, but that is not a reason to expel God from our lives -especially by government edict.
I believe that the message of the Founders of the United States was not that good Government could not exist if it acknowledged God, but more that moral Government could not exist without God. Our Government was never intended to be a panacea for every ill.
What path would you say we’re on now? I think the parallels to the past are striking. There is one constant that hasn’t changed in thousands of years and that is human nature. The Founders realized this and designed a system that maximized individual liberty under the assumption that a moral people would excel under such a system. They knew that they could never relieve man of the trials of his existence through government. We are all challenged in different ways for different reasons which are not for us to understand. We’re not supposed to understand why we get cancer, or why our children may tragically pass away young, or why the river took Emmy Lou for that matter. And, we can erect all of the goverment programs that we want – it won’t help, seemingly randomly bad things will continue to happen to otherwise nice people. In fact, there isn’t enough paper in the world to write enough legislation to prevent or protect everybody from everything that could possibly happen to us during the course of our lives.
Our job is to make the best of it, help each other when we can, respect each other’s rights, and have a little faith.

  1. Ok so I was trying to leave a Global warming comment but it was closed so here I am.

Explain to me why people think the oceans will rise to imcredible new level if the sea ice melts. If the ice is floating in the water already why would it melting cause the sea to rise? When I have a glass of water 3/4 full of ice and it melts in the sun (because of local global warming) why does’t it overflow? Hummmmmm
