Obeyme – The Quintessential Liberal Fascist
By omb on May 14, 2009 in Liberalism, Obeyme, tyranny
I found this article by Kyle Anne Shriver on American Thinker to be spot on. It’s a juxtaposition of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” and Jonah Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism”, and she draws some very interesting and frightening conclusions. It’s long, but it’s definitely worth the read. Here’s an excerpt from Alinsky:
“A People’s (community) Organization is not a philanthropic plaything or a social service’s ameliorative gesture. It is a deep, hard-driving force, striking and cutting at the very roots of all the evils which beset the people. It thinks and acts in terms of social surgery and not cosmetic cover-ups.
A People’s Organization is dedicated to an eternal war. A war is not an intellectual debate, and in the war against social evils there are no rules of fair play.”
Saul Alinsky; Reveille for Radicals; p. 133
In light of this, I find it even more chilling than during the campaign that Obama proudly proclaimed his roots as a community organizer as a relevant to qualifying him for the Presidency. Shriver points out that although Obama didn’t start this movement, he is the ‘committed closer’ to the movement. In my opinion, there is no getting around the fact that Obama’s agenda goes far beyond being the steward of the Presidency and the American ideals embodied by the office. His actions to date in the private sector have been unprecedented and tyrannical in nature. The bottom line is this, we are in for a life of hell if this ass-clown is allowed to fully implement his agenda of ‘change’.
