It would be great to have a party that was grounded in the ideals of the Founding Fathers. That's why I argue that if the Republican party is to have a future, it lies in Conservatism, not Socialism/Marxism-Lite. Lobbying the state Republican parties to close their primary systems would be a great start. Once we have only registered Republicans selecting Republican Presidential candidates, the agenda/platform can be modified. Until that is done, we will be saddled with RINO candidates like John McCain who will keep the same mushy, shades of grey liberalism in place. -OMB RWR,
