My first political protest-Beaverton Oregon Tea Party
By Prudently Jealous on Apr 17, 2009 in Congress, Conservatism, Prudently Jealous, liberty
Yesterday marked a first for me. I attended a protest. Having never been to one, I was actually nervous to see what kind of freaks would be there! I mean I did not want to be there with a bunch of kooks! Guess what? They were NORMAL people gathered. Here are some photos-mostly of the signs. Unfortunately there was nowhere to get above the crowd to see the turnout, but there were more people than I thought there would be! I did see a sign that read “Silence is Consent!” That one hit home. I will be attending more.

Great pictures!

Thanks, we enjoyed seeing everyone there with the signs. It was an orderly event. Some women up at the street said they only had two people give them the finger. Lots of people were driving by honking and waving in support!
