So the classless bohemians from Chicago go to meet the Queen. The First Lady doesn’t curtsy then puts her arm around QE2, both horrendous violations of protocol and indications of a complete lack of respect. At least they presented her with… AN IPOD!! This after the POTUS shows up late for his meeting with PM Gordon Brown and presents him with a Gift of State consisting of a last minute run to Blockbuster. The liberals on TV are all saying ‘who cares?’.
Who cares are the British people, who still love their Queen and their traditions. I knew that, but apparently the Office of the President of the United States didn’t get the memo. Great Britain has remained our staunchest and some times only ally on the global stage for over a hundred years but it only took these idiots two months to piss them off too.
In the meantime, the European heads of state are unanimously telling us to stick our ‘global economic recovery package’ where even socialists fear to tread. I thought this guy was going to make the world love us. Well, some countries do. We’re cozying up to Russia, China and Iran, who are laughing so hard they have to pinch themselves lest this is just a dream. Looks like his foreign policy expertise is almost as brilliant as his domestic agenda.
Yeah, and do you know what was on the IPOD? A video of the Queens trip to the U.S., and get this – mp3′s of Barry O’s 2004 DNC address and his 2009 Inauguration speech. How do you spell narcissist? OBAMA?
Did you hear that he bowed to the Saudi King???? OMG!!! All should realize that when he bows to a monarch, he subjugates all U.S. Citizens? Washington would never have bowed to anyone, ever – because he respected the people and he realized that he represented them.
The obvious thing is this: this do-nothing, know-it-all, narcissist that some call our President could give a shit about protocols. You see, the ‘old history’ no longer matters, the ‘new history’ began with his 2004 speech to the DNC. Expect more buffoonery from this idiot.
I mean, who ‘writes’ two auto-biographies by the time they are 40? What has he accomplished?

Oh boy. I knew this would come up. The Queen requested the Ipod, specifically a video Ipod. He also gave her a rare book, one that held the sentimental value for the Queen. You should read some U.K. news.
Let us not forget that we were subjugated a few years back when Bush strolled around his ‘ranch’ holding hands with Saudi Prince Abdullah! The Saudi equivalent of ‘I own you”.

I don’t think any of this matters. Although in watching the meeting I thought the Obamas looked as though they saw her as a grandparent, a doddering old woman. I thought they should have been more respectful, but I was really pissed off at the President for “apologizing” for anything. It does not matter to me if Europe likes America or its policies.

Yeah, I heard about the book – at least he’s enlisted some protocol people.
I’ve read many different interpretation of the hand holding thing with Bush – none of which has any thing to do with ‘I own you’, in any case – Bush never bowed to the Saudi King! And further, guess what Bush isn’t President – Live in the now!
Maybe he thought his teleprompter was on the king’s shoe?
Ultimately, EAP has made the best point here. None of this really matters, our Pretender-in-Chief is a buffoon. What’s disgusting about it is his penchant for apologizing for America when abroad.
He is a disgrace and you can rant all you want about Bush, but it’s not going to change the fact that he’s an embarrassment to any American who believes we are different because we have a Constitution, not a monarchy or ruler – which is what he thinks he is.
One more point – this post may not be substantive, but it offered a great opportunity to show a picture of Michelle Obeyme in full ceremonial Klingon garb. You know she kicks the crap out of that skinny pussy.
