Huge Footprint Found, Goresquatch Sighted Nearby

Goresquatch
Much has been written already about former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Al Gore’s propensity for spanning the globe in private jets, sounding the alarm over the sure to be devastating impact of Global Warming – er, I mean ‘Climate Change’, which amounts to nothing more than that which we used to refer to as weather. There are numerous links(here’s one) which detail Algore’s $30,000 annual utility bills at his palatial estate, and the ‘carbon credits’ which he purchases from his London based company, set up to trade in these eco equities. As with most politicians, if you want to know his motivations, follow the money (here).
But that’s not what I want to discuss, here. True, Gore’s ‘carbon footprint’, as defined by the eco-fascists, is enormous when compared to that of the average American. But what can you say, the nut doesn’t fall too far from the tree. What am I talking about? Al Gore Sr., his relationship with Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum, and the Gore family carbon footprint.
Back in the late 70’s, Al Gore Sr. together with his pal, and noted part time Communist spy and money laundered, Armand Hammer, to whom he had years before sold a lucrative and indefinite mineral rights deal on his land holdings, were parties on a State visit to China. The senior Gore, acted to secure rights for Occidental to develop a coal mine in Shanxi province, China. This was the first major project undertaken by a Western company in China since before the cultural revolution
When Gore Sr. failed to win reelection to the Senate in 1970, he was promptly appointed to Occidental’s board of directors, and later was made Chariman of Island Creek Coal, Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum and tasked with development of the Pingshuo coal mine, in Shanxi province. This is the largest open pit surface coal mine in the world covering about twenty square miles, and was developed by Gore and company. The coal is burned throughout Central China’s electrical power plants in mass quantities.

Google Earth, ~20 sqmi
Now, as much as I wish I could, I’m not blaming this mine on Al Jr, I just find it ironic that that this green Nobel Laureate is so closely tied to this mine and its environmental impact. Al Jr. has had his own shady dealings with both the Chinese (recall “There’s no controlling legal authority”) and the Soviet Communist tool, Hammer. Gore Jr., as Vice President, recommended the sale of the Navy’s Elk Hills oil reserve in the San Joaquin Valley in California, to Occidental in 1998. This is considered by many industry analysts to have been the biggest oil scandal since The Teapot Dome Scandal of 1920’s- in fact, it was part of the same oil field.
Occidental’s bid on the reserve was $3.65B, about half of the estimated value of the oil in the ground at the time. Occidental had always been a big supporter of the Gores at campaign time. The Elk Hills purchase made Occidental the third largest oil producer in the State of California. Gore has always had his own ties to ‘big oil’. At the time of the Elk Hills deal, it is estimated that he held in his trust about $500k worth of Occidental stock, in addition to receiving his annual mineral rights payments from the same. It stinks. As I said earlier, just follow the money.
Gore is a charlatan, its obvious to any who take an objective view of his actions and motivations. It is people like him that will be complicit in stripping away more of your liberty, surrendering our sovereignty to some international body, and granting the right of taxation through carbon credits to the U.N. and, by the way, Obeyme has already said that he supports this plan.
Whether you agree with this crap Global Warming-Climate Change-Save the Polar Bears-Glaciars are Melting- or whatever we need to call it today in order to take some more of your rights and run your lives brand of fascism or not, there’s no denying that between him and his dad, that’s one huge ass carbon footprint!

Good one. I am sure that this is the tip of iceberg, or what is left of it, in his double dealing.
Funny thing that the earth has been on a long-term warming trend since the last ice age.
I have a theory that the impact of Gore’s scare tactics will have at least as much of a negative impact on the global economy as the recent poor policy enabled recession. The problem is that it will take a generation to manifest. Much like the “everyone deserves to own their own home, whether they earned it or not policy”.

J Galt,
The impact of these eco-fascist policies will be the end of Capitalism. I think the results will be realized rather quickly – inside 5-10 years of implementation.

OMB,
Agree, we are on the brink of taking the final pound of flesh from those that take only that which they have earned. What the liberals have figured out is that they only need put forth theory that is refutable, but only by those that are willing to think. A brand of religion that has no ethos.
I am hearing rumors of new regulations that will further weaken on our Second Amendment. Since you seem to have your ear to the ground, how about a little perspective for your acolytes.

John,
I started putting together some notes on this today. I’ll have something on the site by the weekend.

OMB,
Thanks and keep up the good work. Some incentive:
The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.
- Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. – Winston Churchill

John,
Didn’t Norman Thomas also say (~1948) something to the effect that he ‘no longer needed to pursue the Socialist agenda because it had been adopted by the Democratic party’? Seems I read that somewhere.

J Galt,
Glenn Beck played the Johnny Cash song “One Piece at a Time”
Its about the Cadillac factory worker that wants to have a sleek ‘ol Caddy, but knows he would never afford one. This leads him to steal one piece at a time in his lunch box.
Obeyme, Pelosi, et al. must have some big lunch boxes.

the new Dill,
That paints a great picture of how this is going down. Democrats want that Caddy so bad they will go through all the effort to create class warfare and then complain when the final product is a pile because the foundation is supported by those that don’t strive, but blame those greedy driven Republicans.

Al Gore is a loser!
If you are going to tell people how to live their lives, you have to exemplify the same behavior in your own actions. Otherwise, you are nothing but a big, fat, liar!

Al is a loser, but a very cunning and wealthy one. He has positioned himself himself perfectly to profit from all of this ‘carbon credit’ garbage. Don’t know if you heard it or not, but the administration is already starting to talk about how they are going to tax our carbon output. Great!

Shame on Al Gore! This is like hearing Rudy or Newt or Ted talk about “family values”. Or Rush, who said drug users should be “found out, charged, and sent up”. Hypocrites on the left, hypocrites on the right. Oh My!
Fluffy | Feb 28, 2009 | Reply
Ha! Yeah, but to equate Rush’s hypocrisy to Al Gore’s, Rush would have to have owned all of the prisons and drug treatment centers to where the users would be sent when he made those comments!

OMB-
Ah yes. Carbon emmission taxes are threatening to raise gas prices around $1 per gallon.
Funny, I see his rear-end getting hauled around in some compact, Mr. Bean-looking, ugly, fuel-efficient, hybrid Prius. Neither does his over-dramatized entourage of secret servicemen and bodygaurds.
The government is now going to tax everything that people either can’t or won’t live without. Many commuting professionals and students are going to be hit with the emmissions tax on gasoline. This is how they are going to tax everyone else.
Global Warming plays on the emotions and fears of those that actually care and aren’t capitalizing on the fear of others.
The sun is a ball of burning gas. Do you think that it remains a constant temperature at all times? (Whoever lived on the sun must have really polluted!!) Also, it has been noted that the temperature on Mars has risen along with Earth’s temperature. In conclusion, either the people who live there are just as selfish and wasteful as we are (hmmm…), or Global Warming is a hoax.

This is going to be bad and there is no reason to do it-other than exercising more control over the populace. Check out this article, I think it says it all.
